Beyond the Track

Legendary quality is what Richard Childress brings to everything he does, both on and off the track.

Whether nurturing grapes to produce the premium wines of Childress Vineyards, supporting the wildlife conservation efforts of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, or breeding some of the finest Angus stock in the country, Richard insists on the best at every turn.

You only have to take a look at what's going on beyond the track to see why the Childress name is synonymous with "Legendary Quality".

Yadkin River Angus

The Yadkin River Angus farm, in Clemmons, N.C., has produced some of the top cattle in the Southeast and progeny from Yadkin River have gone on to be cornerstone females in many major herds across the country. The herd was dispersed in 2003 to make some needed improvements to the land and facilities, including reseeding the pastures and new fencing. Those improvements are just about finished and the Yadkin River program will again be up and racing soon. When traveling through North Carolina, plan a visit to Yadkin River Angus.
