It's hard to believe that a car can finish no worse than fourth in the three races it was raced in and still be better known for a test it conducted. But that is the case with this car, which won the pole and finished second in the 1996 Daytona 500 and then finished fourth in the rain-shortened race at Daytona that July. In between six test sessions at Daytona and Talladega Superspeedway, the car finished third in the 1997 Busch Clash. But it's best known for the night of Feb. 7, 1998, at Daytona, when it ran 26 laps to test the new lighting system at Daytona International Speedway.
