This is the famous "Quicksilver" car that Dale Earnhardt drove in the 1995 Winston Select. It marked the first time that RCR changed from the black paint scheme now synonymous with the No. 3. The paint scheme was in honor of the silver anniversary of R.J. Reynolds' sponsorship of NASCAR Winston Cup racing. Earnhardt was a three-time winner (1987, 1990, 1993) in the first 10 years of the event and, in RCR Chassis No. 15 for the 1995 race, Earnhardt started fourth, finished seventh in the first segment, third in the second segment and crashed on the first lap of the final segment to finish 14th.
