2010 Development Drivers

Ty Dillon
Birthdate: February 27, 1992
Residence: Lewisville, N.C.

Dillon began racing in 2006 and racked up a total of four wins in Bandeloro and Legend Car racing series, at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. In 2007, he raced a total of 31 events among various local series. In May 2008 he won the All Star Shootout at The Dirt Track at CMS Last season the 17 year old driveMay 2008, All-CMS. season, 17-driver made his stock car debut driving in the NASCAR Camping World Series East. Dillon drove in three events and earned three top-10 finishes. The Lewisville, N.C., native will run in various racing programs, including stock and dirt cars in 2009.

The Winchester, Tenn., native began racing go-karts at the age of eight and earned two track championships by the age of 15 before advancing to dirt Late Models in 2006. In 2007, Gifford was hired as a development driver for Richard Childress Racing and went on to win three feature events the following season. Last year, the 20-year-old driver made his stock car racing debut in the NASCAR Camping World Series. In five NCWS starts, he earned three top-five and four top-10 finishes, including two runner-up finishes at South Boston (Va.) Speedway and Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Gifford will continue his development in 2010, competing in various racing series for RCR, in addition to running the entire NASCAR Camping World Series East season for Andy Santerre Motorsports.
